T-Square Design was set up by Pam MacAllister.

Pam is a chartered architectural technologist. She gained her first degree in Architecture from the University of Bath and a subsequent MSc in Construction Project Management from the University of Lincoln. This enables her to take on all aspects of design projects, achieving quality solutions at best value for money, whatever the size of the budget.

Pam has over 30 years' experience in architectural design, building surveying and project management.

In addition to domestic housing projects of all sizes Pam has a proven track record within the public sector, specialising in education. She has successfully worked with many schools on new build, remodelling and extension projects.

About CIAT

The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) represents professionals working and studying in the field of Architectural Technology and is internationally recognised. CIAT qualifies Chartered Architectural Technologists, MCIAT and professionally qualified Architectural Technicians, TCIAT.

As a membership based organisation, CIAT is owned by and operated on behalf of its members with a growing network of members who are based around the globe. This network is open to all members creating a huge resource and knowledge base. The Institute has its own Royal Charter and under this Charter the objects are:

  1. to promote, for the benefit of society, the science and practice of Architectural Technology;
  2. to facilitate the development and integration of technology into architecture and the wider construction industry to continually improve standards of service for the benefit of industry and of society;
  3. to uphold and advance the standards of education, competence, practice and conduct of members of the Institute thereby promoting the interests, standing and recognition of Chartered Members within the industry and the wider society.

What is a Chartered Architectural Technologist?

Being a Chartered Architectural Technologist is a varied and diverse occupation. As a Chartered Architectural Technologist, you will be a specialist in the science and technology of architecture, building design and construction. You will be able to set up your own practice and provide a full architectural design service to the public and other clients.

You will play a pivotal role in the construction process and be complementary to other Chartered disciplines in the built environment sector, leading projects of all shapes and sizes from conception through to completion (which may include administering the contract).

Chartered Architectural Technologists recognise the significance of the post construction aspects of the project

Chartered Architectural Technologists, MCIAT, are architectural professionals and may practise on their own account as a partner or director, and must adhere to a Code of Conduct
